The many ways to enjoy BAM Buckwheat Milk

And this isn’t even a complete list!

When we started playing with buckwheat as a dairy milk alternative, we knew we wanted to be able to use the product in all the same ways as cow’s milk. It had to be creamy with a neutral smell and taste, be able to froth for lattes, flow smoothly over cereal, work in baking recipes, blend evenly for smoothies, and roll to a boil nicely to make creamy bowls of oatmeal.

Today there is no shortage of milk options for you to try. From cow and goat milk on the animal side, to oat, almond, and soy on the plant-based side, we knew that by introducing something new – the first buckwheat milk in the U.S. – we had to make something better than the rest.

BAM’s deliciously creamy and slightly nutty Buckwheat Milk comes in three varieties: Original, Hint of Vanilla, and Extra Creamy. We are Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, and Gluten-Free. Buckwheat is packed with nutrients and every glass of BAM has at least 4g of complete plant based protein and 2g or less of sugar.

All of our delicious options can be used in more or less the same way, but some really shine in certain use cases, so we made a list of ideas below!

How to enjoy BAM

All BAM Buckwheat Milk Varieties

  • Add to iced coffees and teas without separation
  • Blend into smoothies and milkshakes
  • Make a smoothie bowl, we love this recipe
  • Pour over cereal or granola
  • Bring to a boil and cook your favorite morning hot cereal, e.g. oatmeal, porridge, buckwheat, etc.
  • Replace BAM for milk in cooking and baking recipes
  • Drink on its own! All BAM flavors are deliciously creamy and slightly nutty – yummy enough to pour a glass and enjoy. We won’t judge you if you dunk a warm cookie into your glass.

Original BAM

  • With a neutral taste, we love using Original BAM in baking and cooking.

Hint of Vanilla BAM

  • Do you love chai tea lattes? Us, too! Hint of Vanilla BAM is perfect in chai tea lattes or other tea-based concoctions like matcha.
  • Baking something slightly sweet? Try using Hint of Vanilla BAM in place of cow’s milk for muffins and cakes!

Extra Creamy BAM

  • We worked hard to make sure we had a version of BAM that would froth beautifully in your morning latte *without* oils or junky fillers. Froth Extra Creamy BAM using your favorite frother and voila! Your mornings just got better.
  • Have you ever had a date shake? Blend dates, frozen bananas, and Extra Creamy BAM in a blender for something so delicious, you’ll want to make one every day. You can also add Extra Creamy to any milkshake or smoothie for an extra dose of decadence.
